The WHO Academy
The WHO states:
“By 2030, the world will face a shortfall of 10 million health and care workers, with more than half of this deficit in Africa. At the same time, the rapid pace of scientific discovery and technological advancement presents challenges for health professionals in confidently applying the latest evidence-based guidelines. While training enough new health and care workers in some countries could take decades, lifelong learning can make a difference now”.
The WHO has recently established the WHO Academy, a “learn anywhere, anytime” online learning platform to “leverage cutting-edge technology, featuring state-of-the-art content supported by robust software, security, and innovative learning sciences, to provide equitable learning opportunities for global health expertise”. The WHO Academy is accessible from your mobile phone app and on your personal computer at https://web-staging.lxp.academy.who.int/. The academy has over 150 modules, including more than a dozen modules on various NTDs.
